Tiller #2 on a Cub Cadet 1641?
Hi from Michigan I am new here.
I own tiller#2 and a 1641, and also have 1882 . Would the version 2 tiller go on either tractor? The tiller is nice and I have 90 degree gearbox , front idler pulley assembly, draw bars. I am not sure what is required to do such a thing? Seems as I am missing some key mount pieces and a way to raise and lower tiller. I have read that a tiller can go on both tractors and they both do have hydraulics but not a 3 point hitch. Thanks Doug |

First, welcome to OCC............
Having an "adapter plate", will cost less.

Hello and Thanks
I ended up solving my problem, easily.
I got a 1650 that has spent most life garaged, with 410 hrs on it. It has been taken care of, and the motor mounts are solid .. The tractor is very sure footed and will make an excellent tiller tractor. I am very happy. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
