I notice at bottom of main page that on Jan 5, 2021 that we had 3124 users online at one time! What gives?

I can't vouch for that number. But I can say, that I see about 50 applications for membership from spammer(s) on a daily basis.

How can you tell they are spammers?

Well, that sure explains all these users I see in the "who's online" section who never actually seem to become members

There's a couple of these almost every day that I see at least.

YUP, that is what I delete EVERYDAY.

Typical spammer has some Bogus Name followed by four numbers, from places you never heard of.

Example: brobertossasda3871 from Â*Kazakhstan

As of 12:30PM, there are 10 of these.

Maybe they want to donate millions of dollars to the site from a deceased Nigerian prince who had a great love for small tractors.

WOW Roland, you delete them and then just like that there's even more!

Also for the heck of it, I looked it up and, although quite obvious that "Â*Kazakhstan" doesn't exist, it turns out that "Kazakhstan" is actually a country

Still though, I wouldn't think there's very many (if any) people where with a Cub Cadet

Looking into it further, seems a lot of them add "Â*" onto the name of a real country for some reason. Like Â*Paraguay and Â*Brazil were a couple I saw...

These spammers rotate countries. Hell, last week I had one claiming Greenland and Antarctica.

Deleted another 8 just now.

Now there's one from Bolivia. That's a new one

Screenshot 2021-01-07 at 17.39.22.png

This one doesn't really match the others exactly as there's only 3 digits in the name instead of 4. But Then again, who in Bolivia has Cub Cadets??

The sad part is I could probably keep doing this forever

On a side note, something strange just happened. I got logged out of my account for the first time since I signed back into it 4-5 months ago. I've always had it set to "remember me" and this is the first time that this has happened.

A whole bunch of threads got marked unread again too (thank goodness for the mark forums read tool).

The website also doesn't want to display apostrophes, and instead displays some sort of command text?

Screenshot 2021-01-07 at 22.12.07.png

Is this just me or did something happen to everyone?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
