1650 Loader removal blower install
20221115_102608 (1).jpg
I just spent an hour trying to upload a video of my 1650 Cub. So I will try later. (not a techy). Anyway I must remove the loader and install my Cub Cadet snow blower. Now instead of just going in blind with NO knowledge of these wonderful little tractors. I cant seem to find much info or videos on Youtube that will help. Lots on the new tractors. I have some PTO belt problems also. I will be posting a video once I figure out why they won't load onto your sight. I can load them but the attachment icon is as far as it gets So if anyone knows of a procedure doc. or video that shows RE and RE loader and blower. thank you 1977 1650 Cub Cadet CC loader cc snowblower |

It is not possible to upload a video directly to the forum. You would have to upload it to a site like YouTube and post a link here.

I would buy another cub cadet and leave the loader on the 1650, be alot easier

That sounds daunting. I might just do that. I mean leave the loader on and move snow with that and for the big snow storms my nabour has a big 4x4 tractor and blower. A couple hundred will keep him happy for a few blow outs.

I would take the loader off the poor cub and put the thrower on it.
Then get a more capable/heavy duty tractor with power steering to do loader work. But that is unsolicited advice |

I agree I sure could use power steering....

I use to plow with my 1440 ( manual lift) when the piles got long and around the fire hydrant on the terrace, I'd use my Case 646. ( makes snow removing fun when your retired) I sold the Case 646, it was great for snow work, but sort of sucked for heavy summer work because of no power steering. I now have an 1872 Super, with the hydraulic plow, love the power steering and the power blade. The neighborhood benefits from my retirement and my tractor, the sidewalks on both sides of the street get plowed. (Mostly rentals ) so the mailman really appreciates me doing it.

My 149/DanCo rig does an awesome job for snow removal with the oversize bucket we built for it.
I would be lost without it. Sure glad I'm NOT in Buffalo this weekend what with 48" forecast by Sunday!!! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
