Default Wing Mower

So I know it's not Cub Cadet, but I picked up a pretty neat attachment that will hopefully decrease my time spent on mowing my 3.5 acres of yard this summer. Found this Gravely wing mower on CL last weekend and picked it up last night. It's a beast, heavy duty and runs great. 40" cut (plus my 48" deck, 80+ cut). It could use some TLC, but it's just cosmetic issues. Doing some research, it looks like these are somewhat rare in the Gravely world. I would like to strip it down after the season and repaint it. Do I leave it red as it was or change it t Cub Cadet yellow? Just need to attach the side bracket to the Cub and I will be giving it a try hopefully this weekend.

Thanks! It was a good find and hopefully works for what I need. The light was previous owner add-on, good idea!

Yep, two 60" Swishers behind a 60" Woods finish mower.

I had been looking at them, but got some mixed reviews for both reliability and performance (and couldn't find a used one for under $1000 around here). Not saying this thing will be any better....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
