Very bad week, lost my dog to acute leukemia
Last week our greater swiss mountain dog Levi wasn't acting quite right. Sunday he was ignoring his food and his stomach seemed firm ( we did have his belly tacked to prevent twisting--common in large breeds)
After xrays, blood tests and such, he was determined he had acute leukemia. We could have spent thousands of dollars to get an extra couple weeks or a month but what kind of quality of life would it be? We visited him at the vet on monday night but since the test results went all in, we left him overnight. Tuesday was when we got the bad news. We were spoiling him rotten and trying our best to keep him comfortable/ Friday before supper, the vet came over and put him out of his pain. My wife and I lost our buddy. He just turned 6 years old two weeks ago. This sucks Here's a cell phone video I got a while ago Jeff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgXUFS4gDoc |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
