2000 series wheel/tire options?

I copied this post from another topic as I’m looking for specific info on new wheels/tires for my 2135. I found a new set of rear wheel/tire combo 20x10-8 AG’s and states it has 4” bolt pattern and 3.5” backspace. Any idea what the offset/backspace is on the early 2000 series? What tires are you folks putting on your 21xx’s? I’ve got 10-15 degree inclines (some a bit more) and lots of shade so not always dry or grassy. Maybe some light snow work if I pop for a blade….maybe.

Ok. I heard crickets while I was doing my own searching and finally decided on the set of AG 20x10-8 with wheels. Backspacing seems right. They fit with plenty of clearance all around. Tested them up and down my very wet, muddy, and fairly steep hill. Other than some cool tractor foot prints in some soft spots, it was a tank! Very happy and feel much safer on the inclines. Will probably add fluid next just for added stability.

Most likely the reason for the "crickets" is there is little or no experience with putting Ag Tires on that series of Cub Cadet.

Having said that, those Ag's look good on your Tractor. I have run Ag's on my 784 for 15+ years and find no issues.

I have two tractors with the Ag style tires. I get much better traction, and do not tear up the turf with them!

I agree. There are plenty of naysayers that claim Ag tires will tear up a lawn, but my experience is just the opposite. The turf tires on my 2180 tear up the grass whenever they spin, which is often on my hilly yard, the Ag tires on my 125 don't spin, they grip.

You can say that again. We just got beat by Sri Lanka by an innings and some runs a very agricultural outcome. Our team (Australia) played like a bunch of amateurs. Any way, India is next.

I run Ag's On many Tractors, the condition have to be right, and You can tear up turf with them. Usually the Yard has to be wet or Moist and Not even spinning You Can damage turf with Garden tractor sized AG tires Compact tractor size & Bigger even in dry conditions You Can Damage the turf just do to the weight of the Machine

Haven't damaged the turf with any of them Yet

In the past I ran AG's On a 2WD JD X485 and the Only time I made Indentations In the Yard was the Ground was Moist, and I was mowing around tree rings. But within a few Days the Turf was Back to Normal. But if You ever do spin with and AG tire, You will see how Much Damage they Can do. But In Normal dry conditions, I Never Damaged My Yard with my Previous JD X485 with AG tires on, even with Hills.

I run ATV style tread Pattern tires (Heavy Duty All-Purpose) on 3 Tractors

People remember seeing the tread indentations of Larger Tractors and think these Lower weight Garden tractors will do that same damage even in good turf conditions. So the AG tires on a Garden tractor have sort of been given that same stigmatism
