Anti Rotation ??? Fix or replace?

I have an LT 1045 - 2008 that had been repaired (sloppily) but has been working ok. I ran over a branch, busted the deck belt. Replaced that and on the second mow afterwards, the drive belt broke. It was pretty obviously old and ready to be replaced. Got a new one, took off the PTO, got the new belt on but it didn't seem to have any anti-rotation pin/bracket and I was afraid to engage it and possibly rip out the wires. All the videos/help I can find are for PTOs different than mine. I tried putting a bolt through the frame and into the slot in the corner of the triangular PTO top. Started it up and it drove forward and back but when I pulled the PTO switch, it threw off the deck belt right away. I put that back on thinking maybe I messed it up getting the deck back on. But then, the PTO didn't seem to engage at all, and it doesn't spin very freely when it is out. Anybody know how the anti-rotation is supposed to work on this type of clutch? Should I do some additional maintenance to help it spin better - or do I just need to replace that too. It's kind of old and rusty looking. But if I get the round type and my mower frame doesn't have the anti-rotation key/slot set up, how will I make it work?
I threw in a couple of pictures of the PTO - its an old Warner 5210-33.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I'm tearing out my hair and my lawn is getting long!

According to the parts drawing for a LT1045, your style PTO was on 2007 and earlier LT1046's.

It is held in place by bracket (part no. 19)

Concerning not spinning freely, that sounds like the braking system doing it's job to stop spinning when the PTO is shut off.
You can bench test it by applying battery and ground to the leads.
If it spins freely, you are fine. If not the brake gap may need adjusted or you may have a bad bearing.

Thanks Ironman! I saw bracket 19 but the diagram doesn't show how that bracket is positioned or connected to the PTO. Since it has a triangular top plate, does the bracket just need to but up against the side so it can't turn? Since my LT is not a 2007 1046, I am guessing the PTO came off another tractor at some point. I don't have a bracket like that but it was working before I took it off so I am trying to guess what kept it from turning before?

One corner of the triangle has a sort of oval cutoff, so I seated a bolt up through a hole in the frame so it went through the PTO oval hole, thinking that would allow some movement but stop spinning. But now, when I start it up, it doesn't engage and the bolt holding the PTO to the motor shaft just works itself out. I think I have something wrong.
