I came on this site to ask for suggestions for what I wanted to do -- make a two seater Cub Cadet.
To those that offered true suggestions, thank you. I appreciate your comments.
To those that are being snide, no thank you.
To the one whose avatar says he will throw a wrench at you if he disagrees with you, I asked for suggestions, not commands, as you gave in your reply. Go back and read it. If I wanted to drive a 'damn golf cart', I would drive the one I have.
I have at least ten Cub Cadets, and several parts Cub Cadets. Some of them I saved from the scrap heap. Please don't try and tell me what I can do with my property.
And that's the harsh truth.
To think that the title to this forum room is 'customized cub cadets'. -- 'show us your mods and customized cub cadets.'
It's always been my thought that if you can't make a positive suggestion to someone who asks, you probably shouldn't say anything.
I'll post more on the Red Power Forum, Cub Cadet Room.
Fred

Fred

I wouldn't let the comments of one person ruin your participation in this forum. All forums have members that offer, shall we say negative comments. Good luck with your build.

Fred,
Stick around.
It appears that most folks are voting for your custom Cub cart. I would like to see it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
