Very nice! I have let two of those get away from me over the years! One of them my grandparents bought new in 1952! Even had the paperwork with it and it still ran well!! Dad let a scrap guy haul it off in the 90's I had it in the back of the shop running and using it.. Dad said it was in the way!!

Very nice!! Post more pics when you are all done.
How is it so many of these survived? The older freezers and refrigerators we had tended to rust bad. Are you using the original cooling components or has that stuff been swapped out?

Wanna hear another good one.. my uncle worked for the local IH dealer at the time... He delivered the fridge brand new! Made me sick when I found out Dad let it get hauled off! All it needed was a door gasket.. at that time before the internet we couldn't seem to find one!

I have found two on Craigslist, both pretty close to the house. They only made them for 9 years, definitely getting harder to find. I like the style I have, kind of a round top. The last couple of years they were more square. I would still take one if I could find it though. If you ever watch “friends” , Monica has a square top IH fridge.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
