When my wife and I meet, she was 20 and I was 17, but she looked 13.

You know you are getting old when you have to think about either jumping off the tailgate or climbing down....

Yes. I stopped jumping off years ago. It's the landing that can get you.

I did something to my back about 2 weeks ago and it is just now getting a little better. Recurring issue from years ago. I have stuff that hurts that I didn't know I had. Why is it that when your young and able you can't afford to do it and when you can afford to do it your now longer able?

At least....... in the late 50's you probably got a lot of the good stuff!

Anyway.....you know when you're old when you're born around the time or before IH introduced the Cub Cadet!

You know your getting old when you don't give a hoot what anyone thinks. And you keep your PJ's on all day. I get jumped on by my wife and kids for my foul mouth in public, but don't give a hoot.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
