Ime quitting smoking is easy compared to quitting chewing tobacco or snuff as it's called. I started chewing when I was 13 I will be 42 next week. I smoked more in my younger days running around and drinking. Still smoke from time to time when I go visit with buddies at their shops and hang out bs and throw a few drinks back , fry up some fish. I need to quit , may someday . It's tough though. I grew some tobacco for the firstime this year, haven't gotton around to making any chew yet. The tobacco is dry. All in all good luck to you , hope it works for you!

Now 30 years later I'm down to pouches where do I go from there? Only took 30 years to get to these. To stop the dipping, chewing whatever you call it is real tough. Made a day one time, about jumped out of my skin, crawly, sweaty, grumpy, oh real grumpy. Eat, eat, eat, wife picked a can up on the way home from work, said "you're much easier to live with if you're chewing, here kill yourself". Well, I'm still alive. Sorry to jump your thread Tim, but has anyone successfully stopped dipping?

I quit the cigs 14yrs/50lbs ago. I used the patch for 2 weeks and I chewed gum(and some hard candy) like it was going outta style, even kept gum in the shirt pocket the cigs were always in. Bought gum everyday at the convenience store, finally after the nicotine habit was gone it was easy to quit the gum-all the sugar was starting to give me a cavity. First week to a month was the worst, after that you got it licked. Worst part is the weight gain, man, do I eat now...
You can't smoke anywhere now it seems, at the airport Dad had to be 50ft from the doors to smoke. |

I have. I chewed Skoal wintergreen for 15 years. Had the same reaction as you did Todd when I quit. Just gave it up after a friend of mine lost half his jaw, hate to tell the horror stories but that's it. I never turned into one of those people who used to do it and now talk bad about those who do, it just scared the crap out of me. Used to smoke too, marb reds. Have to say that quitting the chew was harder for me. Lots of nicotine in the old chew, and the rumors of the ground up fine glass to make sure it goes right to the head, not going to say I don't miss it but I feel for you guys trying to quit, lots of triggers out there that make you want to have a smoke or dip, btdt

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
