No lights, wheel weights, snow plow, fenders, or nice seat.... anymore, those parts are needed for my keepers.

Needs a battery but it runs though.

Here are some before pics.

Thanks Allen and John.
I put a battery in it and it fired right up. Took it for a spin, needs a teaser spring, but runs real smooth and no smoke.
This has no pto on it, never was one installed, but it has a pulley for a 38" timed deck that was prolly on it when new.

Nice find, Lew! I'm in awe with the energy and resources you have to find these tractors!

Not understanding the no PTO but has a pulley for the timed deck Does that mean when you start the tractor the deck is engage? I don't think I have that right.

You engage the timed deck with the little footsy lever on top of the deck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
