Default Guys, can you confirm what I "think" I know about my Cub?

From what I've researched from the serial number, I believe my Cub is a 102 made in '67.
Would appreciate it if someone would look it up and confirm or correct me.
Thanks!

I'm coming up with March of 1967. As for the model, I can't really tell from those pictures. It's either a 102 or a 122.

Does it have a K241(10hp) or a K301(12hp) in it ?

Ditto, I agree. It is either a 102 or 122, depending on engine size.

Ive never seen that before where 2 differnent models use same set of serial numbers. Does anyone know if it was an even split? Equal number or close amount of 102 and 122 tractors built

That's how all of the IH tractors were, even the big tractors. When the 6/7 series came out, they started adding a model number to the tag so you could identify the tractor.

From what I have seen and read.....

IH did not have dedicated assembly lines. Tractors came down the line (ie: 71, 102, 122, 123) in no particular order, and were assigned a sequential serial number as they appeared. Maybe IH ran 71's on Monday, 102's on Tuesday, etc.........

Based on the size of the fuel tank, I would say you have a 102. But we all know things like that are easily swapped out over 50 years.

This is my understanding as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
