New TO ME 149
Today I started to check for things that needed to be done on the 149.
Tightened up the steering cam adjusting screw and put grease in the steering box. Then greased the axle spindles. Helped the steering a lot. Took some play out and steers easier. Then I took off the inspection plate between the floor boards. What a shock. Piled full of fine dirt. No oil, just dirt. Hosed it off with water hose and came pretty clean. Then hosed off bottom side of engine on carburetor side. Got water in the points and like to never got it out so it would start. Put it back in shed and called it quits for the day. Pictures attached. First two pictures are before and last two pictures after water hosing. Not that you would have trouble telling that. Have a great day. Bob

You probably lowered the operating temp of that pump by about 40 degrees by removing the insulating coating of dust . Good work!

Cleaned up a couple of hubcaps I picked up earlier this year.
Not perfect, but they will look pretty damn good on a tractor! Got them with a blown up 782 with a 48gt deck for $150 in April I think.

Nice job LP I’m a fan of course. I’ve never mowed with a cast end before. I’ve got one just haven’t ever mounted it. Looks sweet
