I want to make it look as close to original as possible, like it was made to be there, not a hack job. No offense, so if anyone can tell me how and what items i will need to do it, i would appreciate it.

ive seen it done with a power steering pump and its well hidden and it uses the same lift lever as like a 149 does.

You can use the cylinder, valve, handle, etc. from a 149/169 or 1450/1650 and either hide a pump like Scott did (which is going to be a bit more difficult on a 128 because there is a lot less room under the dash and under the fenders) or put a power steering pump on the right side, run from a belt on the flywheel side of the engine.

Matt- why is that my 128 is a bare bones, and has nothing where scott's did. they are both wide frames if memory serves me right. What I am trying to say is my 128 looks to have the same amount of spacing and clearances that scott's did.

The 82 series tractors have a separate battery box and fender assembly; on the 128, these two items are welded together, and there are a couple of sheetmetal stiffeners that run parallel to the frame, one of which is exactly where Scott put his spin-on hydraulic filter. Similarly, his relief valve is located in an area that is far more difficult to access on a 128, as fenders and battery box are one piece, as I mentioned. You may need to move these things to a different location for ease of access. Also, because the frame folds out and over at the front of the 82 series tractors, there is more space in the engine compartment and under the dash.
I'm not saying it's going to be impossible, but these are the issues I see. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
