I've had a seller promise to hold a tractor for me until I got there at 3pm because it was a 2 hour one way trip. The problem was he also told 3 other buyers to be there at 3pm too. I was about 15 minutes early and he had his wife come out to keep me busy. Once the other buyers showed he came out I pulled out cash for his asking price and he basically started an auction starting at his asking price. I called him a few choice words and drove back home...

I'm not whining at all I'm just letting other members know what this guy does he has a history of it. If the word gets out to enough people he won't be able to pull his s*** with anybody else. I'm not trashing anybody I'm just relaying facts. This was not just a deal falling through it was a person lying to many people about many deals and that's not right. You are entitled to your opinion my opinion is when people treat people like s*** they should be called on it

I was always taught when you gave your word it meant something that's the problem in today's world everybody thinks they can do what they want when they want no matter how it affects other people

Your calling someone a liar... that is trashing them and it does not belong on an open forum IMO... for all the rest of us know you could be making it all up. Get over it.

PS... just for record Im not pickin sides.... I dont think hearing one side of a story is enough to do so.

Yeah, I'd be pissed as well Charles. You have a legit grip. And by letting us know, "hopefully" he won't try it with another member.

We had agreed he would pick it up Monday at 1 so I rearranged my schedule to accommodate. Then it all started first he said he could not make 1 because he was renting a trailer and it was not ready yet and he would come at 5. He told me he got the trailer and was on his way to my house but oh no he is not going to make it because the trailer wheel was smoking. Tuesday morning he told me he was going to another uhaul to get a replacement, oh no they don't have a trailer not one within 50 miles. oh wait now they will have one for Wednesday. No they don't false alarm. In the mean time I find one 3 miles from my house. He is going to get it and come get the tractor. Oh no that is not going to work uhaul forgot to make the reservation. All this time I am being told that he is at a tractor show 45 mins from my house. This goes back and forth a few more times. We finally agree that he is going to get it on Friday on his way home at 10am at 8:43 he text me and tells me he is on his way. He never shows or answers his phone or text after that. Now I come to find out that he was also supposed to buy another tractor at the show which he never did, in fact no one including a good friend of his who was at the show ever saw him there. He never showed at the hotel. Now I do not care that he did not buy my tractor but I feel other members should know how this guy operates he stiffed two people this week. Oh I called the uhaual and they told me the trailer reservation was cancelled. The member goes by Longislandcubs on this forum. I also found out that he bought another tractor from another member took the tractor but never paid for it making up excuses only to bring the tractor back. I would be very careful if anyone chooses to make a deal with Longislandcubs. I would be happy to post our text conversation to back up what I have said.
Unfortunately, that's the way it goes. In this particular instance, the purchaser went above and beyond to mislead, and talk a lot of sh%t. I had a clown here step in and promise me a engine for my 1450, then I was greeted with a snotty PM stating they've decided to keep the engine and that I should go look somewhere else, just two days before I was going to pick up. That person must have been drunk again on OCC. I've always sold and come through to help folks here, lol! They should be disbarred for all I care.

That sucks for you.

Not a big lose for me the tractor will sell to the right person. It is amazing that the amount of lies that were told, went on for days when he never even left the state. up to telling me he would be here in an hour and never left his house. I believe that what comes around goes around so it will all work out in the end.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
