I was dreading today but ended up great.
Some of you may have seen over the past year or so I ask opinions on whether or not to sell my Supers. I finally decided to sell but never really took any actions to do so. deep down I don't think I really wanted to. It took about 10 years and close to 30 supers to end up with a complete set of 72 series supers. One young man on the forum followed my post and persisted in pursuing my 1772. Finally after a couple months of us not being able to hook up he and his father came this morning to pick it up. I was dreading this day but after I met Nick and his dad I felt fine. Nick is 19 and the real deal Cub Cadet guy. I was sad that my son and I will not be doing anymore plow days ( we have now traded for car shows ) but to see a young man with passion for the hobby and his dad supporting him did my heart good. So now that the ice was broken I am selling everything as I do not like to have incomplete sets of anything. I wish Nick the best of luck with his new toy.

Charles it was great to finally meet you and we are more than happy with the deal. We have searched a long time to find the “right diesel”. This machine is in exceptional condition and is the nicest unrestored 1772 I’ve seen. The 1772 will be in a good home and will always be well taken care of as you have done with it for the past years. I hope to have it at PA plowday someday as you have done for the past 8 years and carry on the tradition. I have always wanted to attend PA plowday and now is a great opportunity with a great machine to use. Thanks again!

Kind of strange how these things work out. I am glad to hear when members meet and amicable deals are made! Charles, if you are ready to get rid of your other supers, then you could contact your local high school band director to see if they want it to pull their pit equipment in place if they do marching band competition. You could contact your local Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Moose Lodge, Shriners, etc....to see if they want to purchase them for parade vehicles. I remember the Shriners riding their little mini bikes in lots of parades. Well, just some thoughts I had to maybe keep the remaining cubs of your collection together and in the public eye.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
