Pulled the pto apart today and found there was no fiber disc in it at all so that explains those bolts in the holes where the set screws are supposed to be, also the three small springs on the back are missing.

Was also working on an exhaust manifold and should have that done tomorrow. The threads for the original screw in type are mostly rusted away so Im going with a bolt on flange type manifold.

I left it a bit long for now but at least there is something to attach an exhaust system to...

Exhaust looking good so far, have you gotten a muffler to use with it yet?

Nope, I have several old Kohler mufflers but none have the same inlet as the oem one did, I do have the oem screw in manifold although the threaded end was rusted completely off but it could slide over the new manifold If/When I can find a muffler. I dont plan on using the tractor but I want some sort of muffler on it so that its driveable... ideally Im hoping to sell it to someone else thats interested in doing a proper resto but in the meantime I'll continue to look for parts and fix what I can.

I fab'd up a linkage rod for the pto clutch today(another MIA part) and found 3 springs I think will work on the back side of the clutch... now if I can find a fiber disc it should be a functional tractor for tilling and blowing snow... it will still be ugly but at least its not dead behind the barn where I found it. Lol

Taken about a year but I may have finally found another 126, not sure if its better or worse than the one Im working on now but it has a hydro lift, a deck, a tiller, and the rear pto gearbox. Only have the one pic and it doesnt show much so Im takin a bit of a gamble at $150 but these things are as rare as hens teeth up here so.... is what it is I guess. Lol

Are you kidding Lance? A cub with a hydraulic lift for $150 and it is a risk? Grab it!!! As fast as you can. I will gladly give you your $150 just for the hydraulic lift alone, so you can have all the rest FOC!

Well since Im already working on a 126 I dont expect I'll have alot of parts for sale when Im done, plus you guys down south have to consider shipping costs and there isnt as much demand for parts up here.... less tractors have survived.

Got the second 126 home today, well worth the trip I think. Missing the deck lift but I have that, he said he had it running last year and put in a new clutch, theres also a package of three new pto discs. Overall I think its in better shape than the first 126. What I'll do is build one nice unit with, tiller, deck, and snowblower. Whats left should still be a good wagon puller.

That's sweet Lance. Another 3rd rarest cub you got there and comes with goodies. That spare clutch disk looks like an original one with the metal sandwiched in between. Got some money too in the hydraulic lift, looks like a good deal, you're on a roll

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
