Default New guy from NE Indiana

Just thought I would introduce myself. I first started working on garden tractors in 08. After I lost my job and needed some money so I started to fix them up and sell them. First cub I had was a 149 which I kept to use to move the others around with. Later I sold it but had some 109s 147s and a 782. I kept up the tinkering for the most part until this last year when I picked up a 109 with a blade and decided to hang on to it. It will be the start of my collection followed by my two 60's wheel horses haha. I was a machinist for 8 years and have been in industrial maintenance for about 2. I have some of my own machines including a cnc mill. I love machining parts for my equipment and can't wait to see more of everyone's projects. You guys are great!! Thank you

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
