Oh its not. Some scrapes and scuffs, flaking paint, needs a dash decal. It had been redone once already before I got it 20 years ago. I was young and did what young kids do with anything motorized. I'd just like to make it nice again. And add some goodies I've picked up for it the last couple years!

982 Wagon ride
I've collected and restored cub cadets for about 15 years now. Everything from original to 982. These are the days that make it so rewarding.

Here's my two Quietlines. My darling 78 1250 and Tuesday's auction buy 75 1000. The 1000 runs and cuts really good and has a newer CCC deck under it but needs a few small issues fixed like clutch work and new blades or at least sharpened.

1970 127 Rebuilding it
I just sent in my hydro valves for rebuild. This started the just screw it rebuild. I initially painted the bad areas, did a tune up and replaced a few parts here and there. This time Im grinding off all rust, cleaning, repainting. I am also rewelding worn out holes and rewelding, and welding and reslotting the shaft flange. I orded a new rubber shaft connector, new steering tie rods, and the list is growing. I have owned it and used it since 2014. I love it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
