Default Salvage yards?

Anyone know of any Cub Cadet salvage yards around SE MI or NE OH? I could use a different hood and fenders but would like to shop visually and I think a salvage yard would be the best place to do so.

Thanks

The members here would probably be a better source. Every one on the site has spare parts of some sort laying around. Joe's is nuts on price especially his eBay listings.

Won't disagree with you on that. BUT, if he has it and no one else does, might be a consideration.

Trying to figure this out...

If you're looking in NE OH, then you're not to far from CubCrazy in northwest Pennsylvania.

Do you mean northwest Ohio?

Fenders should be easier to come by than your hood. That was a special hood on that model, with raised relief and they are sometimes hard to come by in decent shape at swap meets. What is wrong with them that you could not fix or have fixed? What makes you think that you would find one in better shape in a salvage yard? Put a listing in the Wanted Section and have them send pics to you for inspection. You never know what might turn up!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
