Josh's 2284...
Say Josh...Great score on that 2284 with the Sims cab and leaf vacuum. Great looking outfit!!
I have one question...where are you getting the heat from for the cab? Did you tap into your cooling system? |

Gary,
The heater is electric as the 2284 has a 22hp air cooled Koehler command. I think it might have been a factory option. If not they did a stellar job matching the paint to the cab. It came with the machine so I’m not 100%. |

I’ve got the Kubota and a couple of backups. The 100 and the 129, both with hydraulic remotes on the front for my power angle blade.

I put the plow on my 125 last week, I still have to get a set of chains for it though. Last night I put the plow on my 1450, didn’t put the chains on yet though since I want to move some dirt with it yet before we get snow. Here is a picture of the 125, one of the 1450 from last year, and one of my off topic plow rig with a heated cab

Snow removal equipment...
Here are a few pics of my current snow removal equipment... sorry if the color is off, (the color of the shovel is correct) but this is the equipment I have been using since before getting turned on to Cub Cadets. I have a 1641 that has been restored (for snow removal) just waiting for the blower to be refurbished and a cab put on.
I restored the JD110 some years ago (including the engine)...I bought it from the folks we bought our home from back in 1991. The tractor is from the 70's and was gently used over the years. I had fun putting the LED lights on the cab. Notice the heat duct coming off the cylinder head...it keeps the cab nice and cozy even in the coldest weather! I would like to figure out a way to extract some heat from the 1641 Briggs engine...perhaps some smaller tubes coming off the heads away from the exhaust outlets. If anybody has done this, post a picture of your set-up... |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
