I wonder how hard it is to find genset tin already formed for a filter?

Just picked up a 1711 w/ 2 stage blower and No. 1 IHC tiller, deck, and would like to add a filter for longevity.

Got a good deal, as it needed a fuel pump and actually caught fire on the prior owner! (very minimal damage).

Just cut out your tins for clearance. Did it on my 782 and ran it like that for years. Worst part is the mess when you change the filter.

As stated, the cooling tins are cut easily and a stone in the die grinder shapes the rough edges to look very professional.
Just make sure your engine can be equipped with a filter, if it does not have a block off plate, you will not be able to install a filter.

It has the plate. I just didn't want it to look like sh!t when it got trimmed.
