Default 1450 Steering Universal Part #s

I know that I am probably wearing you out with many separate threads about my 1450 cub cadet. Eventually, I plan to make one restoration thread and hopefully merge all of this stuff into that and just have it under one thread but for now while I am in and out of meetings and on the road I do not have time to compose such a thread altogether.

I am going to rebuild the steering box on my cub cadet 1450 and I plan to install all upgrades that I have found which include the ball bearing on the outside of the steering box, the ball bearing in the upper part of the steering shaft, and the heim joints on the tie rods. I am asking all of you for help in determining the size and part numbers if applicable of all of these parts. I plan to order the parts since they are common from either McMaster Carr, rock auto, or the local auto parts store I am asking all of you for help in determining the size and part numbers (if applicable) of all of these parts. I plan to order the parts since they are common from either McMaster Carr, rock auto, or the local auto parts store. I have the OEM part numbers but that usually does not give a specific size and sometimes it is a lot of legwork to cross over. I feel like all of you might have this information handy

I know it takes 4 joints total but are those just the different options or do I need to order 1 each of the ones listed.

They appear to be different options. In other words, all 4 ball joints in the parts look up are the same part number. You can look up the part number by clicking "Cub Cadet parts and service look-up" link on top of the page and enter your tractor model.

Those are the options. Research the types and order the ones YOU want.

Ok....so I've changed my mind on where I'm getting parts. I've decided to go with Cub Cadet Specialties on most of my parts as they seem to be cheaper, as cheap, and just easier to get everything with it all being in one place and Cub Cadet specific. So thankful for the sponsors of this forum and thankful for everyone here!! Still getting my parts list together and will order as much as I can of what I need through them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
