Default New 127 owner from Iowa

Hello, I am a new member from Iowa and just purchased my first cub cadet ion Jan. 13. I was looking for a snowthrower/blower to use for the drive and an implement dealer I knew had this setup for sale. Took me a few weeks to get running as the PTO clutch needed rebuilt, front wheel brgs, and PTO lever. Gearbox on the blower needed lube and the shaft/chain needed oil and grease. But works great. I posted some pictures of the blower operation on the site.

It also came with a 42" mower deck that needs the spindles rebuilt and a little paint.

I pd. a little too much for the work I had to put in, but got a few good solid pieces of equipment. I mainly plan to use the tractor for blowing snow and mowing the lawn and moving a trailer; I am happy just to fix a few things here and there and get it running to working order. I would like to add a 3pt lift and tiller to the back for my garden, but thinking that will have to wait.

Here are a couple picture of my tractor:

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
