Smile Hello from Central PA not really new

Well if some of you remember ole147 from before.
It seams that if you are away for a while you stuff disappears. Enough of that.
I was wrestling with my steering today.
I pulled the steering column to work on the gear box.
I just got it back together a few minutes ago.
I'm too tired now to try it out.
Or maybe it's the thunder storms we are having.
It could be that I need gas to start it.
Take your pick. the old 147 will wait till Saturday to get a test run.

I purchased a new CC in the spring of 09.
It is a good grass cutter.
It gets around on my hilly lot very well.
So far I'm happy with it's performance,
I understand it's limitations.
All I got it for was to cut grass.
It replaces a Snapper zero turn mower that was highly over rated and over priced. I like the cub much better.
I had 3 CC's at the time.
I sold the one on the right, now I'm sorry I did.
That was a 104 that had 106 decals on, it was that way when I bought it.
They tried to tell me it was a 106, but that didn't work. The 106 has different rear fenders.
And the Serial #'s tell the whole story.
It had a creeper gear and 12 wide Ag tires.
A real BEAR.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
