I had the before pictures on my other computer that got lightning ZAPPED.
I'm looking through my picture CD's to see if I stored any there.
If I find some I will post them. The 147 didn't look to pretty when I bought her. Rusty and unkept.
The previous owner was so cheap, he put a wheel barrow wheel & tire on the right front rather than getting the right replacement tire.
I replaced the front tires with tri rib tires.

All I got it for was to cut grass.
It replaces a Snapper zero turn mower that was highly over rated and over priced. I like the cub much better.
I had 3 CC's at the time.
I sold the one on the right, now I'm sorry I did.
That was a 104 that had 106 decals on, it was that way when I bought it.
They tried to tell me it was a 106, but that didn't work. The 106 has different rear fenders.
And the Serial #'s tell the whole story.
It had a creeper gear and 12 wide Ag tires.
A real BEAR.
Sweet line up! To bad ya sold the 104.

Default central PA

Hello OLE 147,

I just joined the forum and see that you are from the same neck of the woods here in central PA (I'm in bellefonte PA).

Can you tell me where in the this area I can go to get an opinion/possible repair for my 1200?
I pulled the creeper drive and found the roll pin pulled from the shifting shaft which connects to the fork. I think all I need to do is to find a slightly oversized pin to replace, but I'm not sure if I need to "rebuild" any other part of the creeper drive. For example, the coupling that connects to the drive shaft is loose. The pin is tight, but I assume that it needs to be a bit flexible to allow the ball/bushing to engage properly. The local Cub cadet dealer just doesn't have the experience with these older tractors.

Anyone in our area that you have been using?

Thanks,
Mike

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
