Mott T38
I picked up this NOS Mott t38 from lew it's complete minus the engine and drive pulley. I picked up a 301CC engine from harbor freight for 200 this week on sale so now i am starting to look for the size drive pulley i need. This engine fits the factory mounting holes but the belt system might require a little work to get everything lined up and working.

I got a parts book from lew also and from my digging the factory part number is 000637. Alamo still should this as a good number and it comes up at a PULLEY BC38 This should be a 1" shaft and 3.75" pulley the belt shows 000638 V BELT 5L39 This one i can't find a cross reference to. If anyone has one of these can can measure the pulley diameter before i order that would be fantastic

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
