Haban 60" Center Pulley
Those of you that are using the 374 Haban and have replaced the center pulley. Since they are NLA, what did you use? Thanks in advance.

The center/ driven pulley for the 374 is NLA but the pulley for the 325 is available. The 325 went on tractors with the large PTO.

I have converted a 325 to work with a small PTO SGT, so that pulley should work on the 374 deck as well. I used an H-bushing and pulley from Surplus Center; 25 mm shaft and 4.95" o.d., 4.6" pitch diameter, pulley; P/Ns 1-2915-25 and 1-2BKH52.
It's not an exact replacement, since it's not two different pulley diameters like the original, so I think it overdrives it a little bit. Nothing extreme. I know I calculated the RPM difference when I first did it; but that was over six years ago, so I don't remember exactly what it was; I think 200 or 300 RPM more. Been mowing 2+ acres of healthy thick grass with it for six years on a 1912 with an M18 and it works great. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
