Default 95 electric

I just purchased a Cub Cadet 95. It is in remarkable shape, and works. I don't know much about this model . Can anyone give me any info on it. Anything would be appreciated.

Thank you

I take it that must have been the one on the Milwaukee craigslist? That thing looked really nice...nicest original bathtub I've ever seen. I've only heard of 2 or 3 other people having one.

Default How many years made

Can any one tell me how many years was the 95 Electric made ? I can only find a listing for 74 & 75 ,but I found this in a 1976 magazine . Were they still selling them in 76? They were offering a $100 satisfaction guarantee on the 95.

Jeff K: AFAIK they were made only in 1974 & 1975 . Cadet 95's made late in 1975 are likely to have been available in the 1976 sales year. I don't think the idea of electrics were "hot" sellers to the American public at the time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
