Ideas for a 125 Hydro?
Hello all-
Yesterday someone just gave me a pretty rough 125 Hydro. It starts right up, and the hydraulics work. But it has definitely seen better days and it has had all kinds of cob-jobs over the years. Such as outfitting it with a bigger battery, or moving the choke to outside the frame... all that to say it is not in the condition to try and bring it back to it's original glory. I have a Haban snowblower that I was thinking might fit on the front but when I got home I realized it was for a wide frame. (I also own a 1641 which I used to use the Haban on until I picked up a 2 stage blower for it). Anyway, I could use it just to pull a garden cart I suppose, but I have another small mower I do that with. I don't know enough about these to know what is possible or what is missing. It came with a rusted mowing deck. (And he also threw in a working Kohler K301 12hp engine just because he was tired of walking around it for years. No sure what I am going to do with that yet either...) So here's a question you hear quite a bit i imagine: What are some ideas for this tractor? Or maybe just some possibilities if I worked on it slowly? For years I have wanted to have a garden tractor that has garden implements. If I were to be patient, could I eventually outfit this with various ground engaging implements? Or is it too small? I do not see much for mods on this particular cub on the internet. Of course I could just put it on craigslist and try to save up for a Super Garden Tractor which I've wanted for a few years (but no one seems to do much with implements for the cyclops tractors?!) Anyway, before I did that I wanted to see if maybe this was a diamond in the rough. I'll attach a few pics.

Yeah, why do people do that? L&G batteries aren't that expensive, and they (the tractors) don't need that big of a battery. My Goldwing doesn't have that big a battery and it has an engine as big as a small car motor. Lots of good parts on that 125, but I'd probably fix it.

I've seen a diamond in a goats ass before, and that ain't one.
 My guess is the ACR is shot, so they added a bigger battery to try and get it to turn over easier. I bought one years ago, and that's what I found wrong with it... Depends how enthused/energetic you are. How bad you want it. It "could" be fixed, or...

Put a snow blower on the front, that big battery will help as a counterbalance/rear weight.

Ideas? I'd:
-mow -move snow -run a tiller -pull a cart -run the snot out of it etc.
