I was surprised at how fast that thing is, though I doubt I will run it as fast as it can go. I used my dad's ZT a couple of years ago for a full season and just simply getting done faster and the small movements is what helped keep my back from aching so much. No it doesn't have a suspension seat, yet.

Unless you have a golf coarse for a yard,you may want to get a seat kit for it.Trust me they are great and will keep you from spending a small fortune at the chiropractor!!!!!!!!!!

I have been checking out those kits. Will probably be something I will get in a couple of months to be ready for next season. My yard is fairly level but it is bumpy like most.

I don't have a dang Bev holder. Everyone that looks in my humidor wants one of those Cohibas. I have to tell them they are off limits. LOL

At the moment I am getting a 25hp engine I picked up today, prepped to put into the Tank. Then I plan on honing the cylinders in the original 18hp motor if they are in spec and putting in a new set of rings. The PO has already installed two new heads, valves, lifters, cam shaft and oil pump. But did he hone the cylinders and put in new rings? NO! But on the plus side, this is why I got the Tank cheap.

I am really liking these command engines. Easy to work on.

Northern makes a good bolt on one. Nothing like feeling like you're riding in a Peterbilt going across your lawn. haha

I had to change the wire harness and the choke and throttle controls from the 18hp motor over to the new motor. re-adjusted the ignition modules and cleaned up all the electrical contacts.

Got it all bolted in and ready and turned the key. It spun over great and actually fired for just a second, then nothing. The motor would crank but not start. I pulled the plugs and no sign of gas. I remember some of you on here talking about the electrical valve not working or sticking and not allowing gas to flow. I pulled the valve off of the carb and cut the tip off. Replaced it, turned the key and it fired right up. Got the low and high idles set correctly and played with it mulching up leaves for about an hour this evening. Quite happy with my toy.

Looks great and they are named correctly....they are tanks!!! I have a 2008 model 48 zero turn (Commercial Series) and had to replace a belt for the first time this year. If you mow too fast over rough ground (ie. your yard), the deck can bounce and the belt can slip off of the pulley and slice the belt. Looks like you're really going to enjoy that tank!!! Glad it is up and running for you already so you can play in the leaves DWayne.
