I went to the Cub Cadet "parts lookup" site and couldn't find a thing.

However, I would suggest you contact forum member - Myron Bounds. I'll just bet he will all the information you are looking for.

The model 85 is a rear engine rider.
The 85 special had the bagger system but not sure if this model ever came with a snowblade?

I was browsing ebay today and I saw this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/INTERNATIONAL-10...item5ade522975

Here is the image of the cover:

RER_Blade.JPG

It is only an operators manual, but it is for an "International 10 Blade" and on the cover it is mounted on a rear engine rider. Maybe that will help in your search?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
