Default Cub 1000 w/attachments

Seems like a decent deal. Maybe talk him down a little. But certainly seems well worth it

How far is this from Kieth ?

It's a very good deal.

If it's more than 2 miles away, and requires a truck and trailer to go get, Keith is out. He isn't gong to buy anything that doesn't come delivered to his door, or he can drive it home.

Besides that, he isn't going to want a gear drive. Especially a QL gear drive. That's a whole different set of issues.

Yes it is a decent deal. The Quietline gear drive models can be expensive. However, if one uses solid engine mounts a and drive plate from an earlier design, repair costs can be reigned in somewhat.

Looks like a nice setup. It is not a "Lew" price.

In this neck of the woods people try to be sorta savvy with the pricing. Almost everyone selling on the east coast, NY and NJ especially seem to pad their price. In this case I would think the seller really wants 1000$ and most likely would except 900$. No idea what the extra attachments would all sell for separately, but I would sure like to try out a snow thrower.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
