For the first time since new, I replaced the brakes on my 1999 Silverado 2500 last summer, 175,000 miles,,
For the first time ever in my 50 years of vehicle ownership, the rear brakes were more worn than the fronts. Actually, the brakes were not in dire need of replacement, but they were close. |

Yeah, if you don't ride the brakes, wait until the last second to stop and pull trailers with brakes..... it's not unheard of to get any of those mileages. I've seen it.
When I sold my Dodge diesel it had over 500,000 miles. I bought it with 250,000 on it. I think I only put 2 sets of front brakes on. I know I only did the rears once. But it had really big rear brakes. |

Are they PowerStop Z23 Tim? I order the complete kit (Except calipers) for my 2015 GMC Terrain SUV , my rear brake are totally toasted after just 36,000 miles. I barely use that truck once a month, but since I will give it in exchange for a Infinity QX60 or a GMC Sierra before the end of this year I do a full brake job.
I got a 20% rebate ($344 instead of $405) from AW https://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s.../P15K5516.html

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
