2362 Snowblower
I am going to start a new thread on this project. The 1862 roller I bought from Sam is going to now be used as my dedicated snowblower with the 451 and deluxe cab I have. It's too much hassle to swap it out twice a year. And the 23hp Vanguard will actually get to do some real work. If it snows.
I will start working on the engine transplant tomorrow. I got the first parts that I need today. The front tires on the 1862 only hold air for about 20 minutes and are very dry rotted. These should turn pretty good in the snow. They only cost about $15 more than the turf savers. More pics tomorrow.

Looks like you have a plan!
What are those front tires? It seems like the tread pattern somewhat looks like the IH symbol sideways!

Got the engines swapped yesterday. Driveshaft installed today. Also got the tires dismounted. The rims are really rusty so I will blast and powder coat them tomorrow.

I suppose. I may need to spray a little metal on there too. I wonder if anyone has any of those?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
