Default New at this

Hi Folks.
Just joined last night and received acceptance today. Was looking around trying to find information on Haban 402D Sickle Mower which I just bought yesterday. Quite excited about it.

Live in upstate New York where I drive a School Bus as well as some Snow Plowing and bush-hogging. Brush-cutting also with an ASV MD70 equipped with a Davco 604 Heavy Brush Cutter. Awesome machine. I Have a thing for the red tractors, along with their yellow relatives and trucks and anything IH. Guess most of you know how that goes. Though I will probably not be on here a lot, the computer and I often do not get along well, it looks like a friendly, fun place to visit. I'm enjoying reading your posts.

Thanks everybody for the welcome. Looks like this will be an enjoyable experience.
I leve in the Finger Lakes, Naples, grape country, to respond to your question, fer100. Was up your way about a month ago. Wouldn't want to go up much earlier than that on account of your snow, which I consider a bad word.
Special thanks to R Bedell. That manual link is great. I've already started reading it. Now I'm back here to read a bit further on the forum. Again, many thanks.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
