Default New Cub Cadet 1210

I found this great site well researching for my new Cub Cadet 1210 and have really enjoyed reading thru the comments.
I have a question though...
My pto shuts off after about 30 minutes of mowing and then resumes normally after it cools down.
I have changed all the fluids, filter and greased everything properly.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Chris

I am sure someone will have a better suggestion, but your PTO bearing maybe getting hot and seizing up till it cools down and releases. I know some of the guys in here have had luck changing out the bearing. Much cheaper than finding another PTO.

Default Ohio1210

Thanks everyone.
i looked at quite a few and bought this one without even hearing it run.I figured if it looked so clean it would run as well...few bugs here and there since it sat for awhile but very happy. My brother is really green with envy compared to his JD.
Perry is along the lake-about 40 miles east of Cleveland-I see a road trip to Patton Acres soon though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
