Some more photos.
You can see there’s a wire not attached to anything, haven’t traced it to it’s origin yet.

Not sure what it’s for but I’m sure I’ll need it.

Looks like the motor mounts have collapsed as the timing hole is below the top of the frame rail.

Could be the pto wire.

I’ll check the mounts thanks for the heads up, and yes it ended up being the pto wire. Everything works as it should now! I will be needing a rear lift setup so if anyone has one they want to get rid or know of a one that is decently priced I would be interested. I saw one for $125 but that’s only $25 less than what I bought the entire tractor for and I can not justify that purchase.

So this 1450 came with a deck and mule drive attached to it. After some looking, this is a 44c deck. After some reading I see that it is not very common to have this deck on this mower. I’m needing some blades and spindles, any references for part numbers for this deck, I would like to get everything in good working condition.

Do you know if your deck has the water pump style spindle bearings or the automotive style bearings?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
