A friend of my dad’s just converted all of the lights in his shop to LED. Before, you could barely see in there, now you almost need sunglasses.

Thanks folks!
Really appreciate the suggestions. Got the last of the walls covered w/new white steel yesterday. Now it's time to drop all the old lights and get the new steel ordered for the ceiling. Thinking now of 2 strings length wise each about 4' in from the walls. If I get thee 4' fixtures, how far apart should they be chained together? Maybe 4 lights each side w/2' between fixtures? |

Finsruskw, can you elaborate on the steel you are putting on the walls? Where are you getting it and what is the cost. I'm thinking that that will look very nice. Can you post some pics of it up?

The Feit I have from Costco works fine in the cold. I don't think you'll have cold issues with any LED fixtures. Except MAYBE LED replacement bulbs for existing florescent fixtures using the ballast????

Got started on the ceiling after getting the walls done and the big door trimmed out last weekend.
The bill for the steel on the ceiling (538.34 Sq.) came to $422 or about $78.39/Sq. Price included a bag of screws. So far so good. Although I didn't realize that I have 2 colors of white till the ceiling went up!! It's "bright white" and the walls are "bone white" |

Square feet.
Sorry bout that, forgot the ' Paid a visit to the local Menards yesterday to look at lights. Seems all the newer LED fixtures have non replaceable bulbs. If one bulb goes south it's new fixture time! I could use my old crappy fixtures and add ballast bypass bulbs for about $15 ea, but I can get a new 2 bulb 4' LED fixture 2 bulb unit for $35. 8 footers with 4-4' bulb units were $80, again, no replacement bulbs. Save $15 and buy 2-4' units instead of an 8' and space the apart some. And I really don't want to hang the old ones back up on a new ceiling though. and ma wind up springing for 8 of the 4 footers and space them 4 down each side about 4' in from the wall I did pick up 2 of the $35 units just to see how they would work where I plan on putting the mill. These are hard wire units, I can install short runs of conduit between fixtures. The cheaper ones have wires and plug ins to link them together. But then you have all the extra wire to deal with as they have special 3 prong receptacles on one end and a length of wire on the other end. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
