It's been a while since I made any progress on this, after I tore it apart I tried to gently sandblast the hopper but it's a lost cause and finding a cost effective replacement has been difficult, until today. I found this at PA plow day for $40, it's in great shape and I plan to use as many parts from it as I can to finish up the Cub mounted unit. I'd like to say thanks to John (aka john147) for helping me load it in the bed of my truck.

No problem Tim, I passed on the second one he had but that john deere cart he has was sure pretty.
