Default Haban 374 Deck Parts

I recently bought a 2082 Cub with a 374 Haban mower deck and am really anxious to see it in action mowing but I need some parts for the deck first. The problem I'm running into is finding a good used part #Cub Cadet HA-13880-0498 or #13 in the attached image. I need the right hand side. Anyone know a good place to find a good used one for a decent price? I know I can get a brand new one for $110 - 125 but that seems really high just for that parts so I though I'd check here first. I checked the sponsors sites of the forum and came up empty, although Patton Acres had the left hand side but not the right. Any help is appreciated.

Is your part missing or in need of repair? The sponsors at the top of the site would be additional good sources for used or NOS parts.

These Haban decks mow awesome with some care. Sad how many parts are NLA (No Longer Available).

The deck came complete and is in really great shape, but the front plastic Castor wheels are very beat up and need replaced. So while I was at it, I wanted to replace all the bushings and get the right hardware up there so everything is nice and tight the way it should be. It looks to me that me right side Castor shaft must have broke at one time or another and the owners quick fix was to cut the head off a bolt and weld thread side up, screw a big nut on it and then weld it. I had to grind the weld off the nut to even remove it from the deck. But I can't really see salvaging this thing. All the other parts of the right side Castor are fine other than needing new bushings.

I am thinking you have two choices. (A) Remove the LH steering knuckle, and send it in as a pattern for fabrication to (ie: "Parts by Jeff", etc) and have one custom made, or (B) bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Yeah I'm beginning to think those are my only two options. Just can't seem to come up with any good used ones anywhere.

One of mine was worn where the bushing rides so I removed that part and installed a bolt with the head cut off and welded into place. Make sure it is square and not at an angle when you weld it. You will need to drill and tap the top for the retaining bolt that holds it in.

Get the bushings from McMAster Carr. Part# 2938T55

Get your front caster wheels here.

As Oak said... you can make a new spindle.. drill the bracket that holds the wheel and weld from the underside.. then drill and thread the top for the retainer bolt.. I had to do one of mine.. it just took a bit of time

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
