New Cub Cadet cart decent?
This cart is on sale for $180 shipped at TSC. It's $30 off and free shipping so about $60 savings. Anyone know if the quality is good? Some of the cheaper carts at TSC are very thin.
I could wait for an authentic IH cart to show up locally but I have a few yard projects right now. I do like the color!

If I could get my hands on one I could "kick the tires" and decide but they are only available online.

What are you going to use it for? If you are hauling vegetables from the garden, bedding plants to a flower bed, gathering up clippings from shrubbery trimmings it doesn't need to be heavy. If you are hauling firewood or gravel that's another story. A light cart won't do heavy work obviously, but if you never any heavy work to do......
Kind of like figuring out what pickup to buy.

Definitely will haul some firewood. If the paint gets all dented and cracked and starts to rust right away I will kick myself for not getting an authentic oldie.

If the thing is like the red ones TSC sells, it is awful flimsy .
I got one from the kids for an occasion I can't remember, but first thing I noticed was that cheap power coat paint peels off in sheets like saran wrap. The power coat is junk in my book but enviro friendly, that is why we are stuck with it. Then there is the wiggly china wheels like Abbot & Costello comedy of silent movie era . But It is great for picking up twigs and carrying a chainsaw & a gallon of fuel. |

I have one about two years old now. Most I use it for is giving rides to the kids when they come over. It's only good for light duty.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
