Default ID a 42" blade?

This front blade came with my 128, and it works on there, but I've not seen another one like it, when i look thru the parts manuals, etc. just wondering if anyone can identify it specifically. I can't find any #'s on it, and its not the same as the one thats supposed to fit the 128. hopefully someone knows more about it. I may build a new back subframe and use it on my super.

The front blade portion, is the same for either NF or WF, being either 42" or 54".

The subframe is where the difference lies.

Yeah I've just never seen another one with the front frame section like this one. all the others i've run across had the stamped steel 1piece triangle. This one has the front frame out of flatbar like the rest of the frame.

The rear part of the sub frame looks like it should, except the tube welded to the left side, but I don't think any of the rest of it is Cub Cadet.

Some of the other guys here may know what it is, or was.

It looks like they did a pretty good job on it though. If it works like it should, does it really matter if it is exactly like it's supposed to be?

I modified the blade that I put on my 123, I don't know what the blade was originally for, but it works like it should and it is my main snow pusher.

Just figured I would update this, I found a wheelhorse blade for sale locally, and it looks exactly like the front part of mine. so someone modified a wheelhorse blade to fit a cub I guess.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
