Question New Brinly

I like old. My newest tractor is a 1971. And it sticks out as the new one. I have gone to Brinly's web site and looked at their current offerings. And I have to ask; how does the new compare with the old? Is it like everything else where old is better?

RPalmer:

I am thinking you are right. I have seen some of these implements and attachments in the Big Box Stores....and them seem to be "cheesy". Nothing
as sturdy as the older implements.

The new plow frames are bolted together, the old ones were welded. Says enough for me to rather have an older one.

Well, you guys just answered my question.....I am looking for an old plow then.....they can stick the new ones where the sun don't shine!

Thanks for saving me the gas to drive to look at them, will go out to the garage and continue cleaning it up instead, gotta make some room before winter!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
