NOS Wheel Horses
I know this is off topic but this summer I went to a meet and greet for Wheel Horse forum members and this gentleman had 2 NOS Wheel Horses from 1972. They have never had gas in them or a battery attached. It was amazing to see something new from 1972.
He is a pretty big collector! Here is a pic of some of his others. Super nice guy! Hope to go down again next year. Randy

Hard to imagine that someone bought 2 tractors in '72 with the intent of never using them, with the costs like it was and tight times for everyone. There is a man with some insight into the future. Glad you shared the pics and had a chance to meet such a nice fellow collector!

This may be those tractors, I believe he bought three of them at an auction and he sold the third one after someone offered him an obscene amount of money for it. He has at least a half dozen more that were not in the picture. He does them all in a small two car garage and the other shop is just do store and display them! Super nice gentleman and his wife too. Here is my 1277 that I bought last year with no intention of keeping the tractor, but after using it awhile I have come to like it. They have some great features but the steering is not up to heavy loader use.
Gonna move the loader over to a 149 as soon as I can get around to working on the 149, but would like to restore the 1277. Its a Johnson 10 loader Randy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
