Had to put my enclosed trailer up for the winter. Had to get the cubs out to make room. They all made laps around yard before getting put up.

Default My winter project begins

I finely got around to dragging the 100 into the shop, that I picked up back in the spring. It's gonna be my winter project and I can only hope it comes out half as good as some I have seen on here. I will start a thread when tear down begins.DSCN0477.jpg

Nice lineup!
I’ll come remove that ugly IH power lawn products sign if you need me to.

Did a bit of carb rebuilding on the new project 782.

Carb in engine. Need to do a bit of cleaning in here...

A little varnish-y

Back together on the bench

Much more likely to chooch properly.

Temp was in the high 50's yesterday so I decided that this year I was not going to wait until it was so cold that I couldn't feel my fingers to get ready for winter. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
