56 crown vic
The 56 crown Vic project is underway. The frame and suspension parts were all sandblasted and I got the frame painted today, the body is out at a place that sandblasts car bodies with walnut shells and we should have it back in a few weeks to begin bodywork. The trans was sent to a local shop to be rebuilt and we disassembled the engine this morning and will be taking it to the machine shop later today or in the morning.

Love those '56 Fords. I have a '56 F-4 stake bed, a refurbished original that I use and enjoy. I owned a '56 sedan, purchased back in 1959 and drove for many years.
Edit: Does the Crown Vic have the 312?

That should be a nice car when completed. Bodywork is so much easier on older car where the metal actually has some thickness to it.
I know what kind of work is involved in a project like that. I restored a 1969 Camaro RS and I'm working on a 1970 now. I just got the LS1 running I put in a '89 GTA that I plan to DD this summer. I was sweating bullets before I started it. I built the complete wiring harness myself to intergrade the LS1 wiring into the Trans Am harness. It firing right up like it was just started yesterday.

Yea it has a 312. When we dismantled it we found grooves over an 1/8th inch deep on the cylinder wall, supposedly the engine was already rebuilt.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
