Drunks or druggies, it is getting out of control. Hope you can get your better half a good protection device. Allen C just hooked up Jenn with a nice toy.

My bad. The hand gun is made by Colt. I've shot so many I get the names confused sometimes! Only catch is, the .38 Special Police Positive will fetch near the same price as the .357 Mag, and even the .44 Mag. Wheel guns are a great choice in home protection. Another item that would have been great in this scary situation, is a 2 or 3 million candle power spot light. We then, ALL could have watched the drunk destroy private property. Seriously!

I hate to say it, but the drunk don't deserve to die on the front porch. Now had he forced a way into the home,... that would be game over for him. He most likely collects welfare, and receives more money a year than the poor soul who works 50 hours a week and still don't make ends meet. And to top it off, the poor soul has to pass a drug and alcohol screen to get the pay check. So all that pretty much gives a person liberty to act like that when ever they choose. Here is Ohio, there are more than one issue that needs addressed.

Good to hear your family was unharmed. Perhaps the glass half full side of this is your Cub Cadet parts might have been enough of a distraction that it kept the drunken guy away from them till they could call you and the police - so those Cub parts might have been a blessing.

I would advise your Wife get trained for using a handgun, get a concealed carry permit and a family dog. If the guy were to have ditched the Cub parts and made his way into the house, a dog would be a nice second line of defense. If things got really dangerous, well, that's were the gun comes in.

Take care,
Bill

Happy to hear that everyones alright! sorry about your Cub parts! That would tick me off to say the least not to mention the people you love being in danger like that. people do stupid crap when they have been drinking or using drugs and can be very unruly. Did the guy happen to live there in the past and was upset about that? Or maybe the house used to be a stash for drugs or something?

Remember ,to count your blessings, #1 nobody harmed, #2 cops did their job & #3 all parts are still on your property, damage control now means hold the drunk s.o.b. responsible ,this may seem fruitless but it may screw him on future welfare checks or un employment this will also tighten his belt on any other legal issues against him , if pressed hard enough , it may make him get a life instead of "f'ng" up every body elses!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
