Default Proper new belt

Can anyone tell me the proper belt size for my cub cadet #70 to drive the 38 inch 3 spindle rotary mower deck (1963 series mower deck). I don't think I've ever had the correct size on so I not sure replacing it with the same is the right move. Thanks.

The deck has cast ends. I'm not sure how to identify what mule drive I have and I don't know how to load pictures, sorry. Using a downloaded cub cadet parts catalog # TC-103 I have the description. It is a hitch and drive unit and a main frame and knife unit (pages 66 and 67).

With a Model 70 Tractor, and a 38" 3 spindle deck with Cast Iron Ends, the chart says Drive Belt IH-473462-R4.

Thank you very much for the information. This site has been very helpful to me through the years and I'm glad I checked as the old belt was an incorrect size.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
